Porcelain Veneers and Crowns

Porcelain has been used in dentistry for many years. The recent advancements of materials and techniques now support the wonderful cosmetic enhancements seen today to improve the appearance of natural teeth or to replace unesthetic existing dentistry. Porcelain veneers reach a new level of excellence with IPS Empress, a pressed reinforced ceramic with no metal substructure or core material that has light refraction and reflection that more closely mimics natural tooth structure which helps to ensure long-term esthetics and durability. Also, IPS e.max is a lithium disilicate glass ceramic that has optimized translucency, durability and strength for full anatomical restorations.

Ceramic laminate veneers are one of the most accepted modern smile enhancement techniques. Ceramic veneers usually require very little tooth reduction since they are thin facings fabricated in the laboratory and bonded to the front of your teeth. In many cases, slightly crooked teeth can be cosmetically straightened by veneers, eliminating the time for orthodontics. See our Smile Gallery

The last several years have been amazing in dentistry. A wide choice of techniques and materials can now allow us to transform and renew your smile as never before possible! Here is a description of some of the ways Smileartistry can help you discover the smile that you always wished you had.

Teeth Whitening

Nothing freshens up your appearance like a whiter, brighter smile. Those "glorified toothpastes" at the grocery store just can't give you the whitest possible smile, only your dentist can.

Nite White® ACP is the first and only take–home whitener to combine the amorphous calcium phosphate, potassium nitrate and fluoride to provide unparalleled sensitivity management and enhanced whitening results. Nite White rebuilds tooth enamel, making teeth stronger and less susceptible to cavities. Better yet, Nite White® ACP has been clinically proven to do it better than the closest competitor.

Nite White® ACP is a fast, safe and effective tooth whitening system that safely bleaches your teeth to lighten discoloration caused by food, coffee, tobacco, aging and other sources. The whitening gel is dispensed by a dentist and applied by the patient at home using a clear and inconspicuous custom fitted tray. The delicious Peppermint Cream flavored gel is worn at night, while you sleep for ultimate performance and maximum convenience, so that you can achieve significant whitening results.

Composite Bonding

Bonding is a process in which tooth-colored composite resin is applied to the tooth surface, then hardened and polished to match the surrounding teeth. It is most often used to close gaps, repair chipped or fractured teeth, or to cover discolored teeth that do not completely respond to whitening. This technique can change the shape of your teeth and gum line to correctly proportion your teeth.
Tooth colored filling materials called composite resins are one of the most sophisticated restorations today. They offer better esthetics, better strength, and better stability than mercury fillings, because the bonding agents make the filling material an integral part of your tooth. See our Smile Gallery

Mercury / Metal Fillings

Our goal is to develop a strong partnership with every patient. We truly want you to understand the choices you have and the importance of your dental health. We can help you maintain a healthy smile, as well as treat the causes and symptoms of any dental condition. We have not placed mercury metal fillings for more than twenty years, because we feel the long term result of mercury metal fillings is commonly a broken or cracked tooth that requires a larger restoration, root canal therapy, a full coverage crown or possibly the loss of the tooth.
